About  Attika Choudhary

With nearly twenty years in broadcasting and journalism, Attika has reported from conflict zones including Afghanistan and Iraq, where her work has shone a light on humanitarian challenges and the resilience of those affected. Her ability to connect deeply with people and uncover the human side of world events has made her a trusted and respected voice in international reporting.

Attika began her career as a news presenter at Sunrise Radio before moving into television with B4U Music and the BBC. Over the years, she has established herself as a dynamic and adaptable broadcaster, taking on roles as reporter, correspondent and presenter. As part of BBC World News, she appeared on flagship programmes such as Impact with Yalda Hakim and Global with Matthew Amroliwala, and became one of the leading presenters for the BBC’s early ventures into Facebook Live broadcasting.

Beyond the newsroom, Attika is the creator and host of Positive Solace, an award-nominated podcast that explores mental health, resilience and wellbeing through honest conversations that challenge stereotypes and encourage inclusion.

A passionate advocate for representation in the media, she has collaborated with BBC leadership on diversity and inclusion projects and continues to speak out on gender and racial equity. Her dedication to community service includes her role as Lady Mayoress of Rushmoor and her support for several local charities. In 2019, she made history as one of the youngest ethnic minority women to stand for both the European Parliament and the UK General Election.

Today, Attika continues to appear at international events as a speaker on leadership, wellbeing, equality and the role of the media in shaping a fairer, more connected world.
